Take your time during the peak phase of your doctorate for workshops and discussions in a compact format. During our interdisciplinary Herbstakademie, you can prepare for the final phase of your doctoral thesis and for the time afterward.

What does Herbstakademie offer?

In short workshops, you can, for example, clarify questions concerning the publication of your doctoral thesis or train presentation techniques for your disputation. Work out how to present yourself and your research in a convincing way – be it in virtual events or at the next project presentation.
 Furthermore, several workshops will focus on the job search after the doctorate inside and outside the university. 

Who can participate?

The Herbstakademie is aimed at advanced doctoral researchers of all subject fields of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen. The workshops are offered partly in English and partly in German, the event titles and workshop descriptions indicate the event language.
