In 2026, the Karriereforum Wissenschaft und Forschung will focus on different types of professorships, highlight the paths to them, and examine their respective requirements and special features. In various talks, professors will give personal insights into their careers and their current professional lives. These will provide valuable insights and information about possible career paths.
The programme is framed by an individual examination of various career options. In individual exercises and discussions with other participants, you can reflect on questions about career prospects under the heading “What kind of professor are you?”.
The Karriereforum Wissenschaft und Forschung demonstrates individual career planning options after the doctorate in a very concentrated and efficient way.
It is dedicated to scientific career paths within and outside the university. Renowned experts and HR managers from various research and science-related institutions will come together to provide valuable insights and information about possible career paths.
The event offers you the opportunity to ask your questions, make valuable contacts and explore your career perspectives.
Postdoctoral researchers and advanced doctoral researchers of the UA Ruhr universities.
The event is usually conducted in German, but you are welcome to participate with questions in English.
Participation is free of charge for researchers from the UA Ruhr.
