We support all postdocs and junior faculty at UA Ruhr in profile building and career planning within and outside the university. You are free to choose from our workshops, most of which are half-day online formats. Secure your spot early!

For the upcoming summer semester, we are once again offering workshops for postdocs from all disciplines in four key areas:

• Careers inside and outside academia
• Leadership, supervision, and management skills
• Communicating, networking, negotiation
• Acquiring third-party funding

Guided by professional trainers, you will develop strategies for dealing with various challenges in your ongoing research activities. In addition, the workshops provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and network with postdocs from all universities within the UA Ruhr. The current program can be found here.

If you are already leading a junior research group, hold a junior professorship, have completed or are about to complete your habilitation, we recommend our Junior Faculty in Focus program. It addresses various challenges on the path to a full professorship, featuring formats like our latest webcast (video on demand).

In addition, each member of the Junior Faculty can take advantage of a one-time individual coaching session (1 hour) on topics such as appointment, strategic career planning, leadership, or supervision. Further information on the CoachingPLUS offer can be found here.
