The workshop offer of the Research Academy for all postdocs and the junior faculty of the UA Ruhr in the winter semester 2025/2026 has been published. Registration for all offers is now open. As places are limited, we recommend registering early. 

In the coming winter semester, we will again be offering a comprehensive workshop program for postdocs from all disciplines in the following subject areas

• Careers inside and outside academia
• Leadership, supervision and management skills
• Communicating, networking, negotiating
• Acquiring third-party funding

Supported by professional trainers, you will have the opportunity to develop strategies for dealing with the challenges of your future research activities. In addition, participation in the workshops offers the opportunity to exchange ideas and network with postdocs from all universities in the University Alliance Ruhr. Networking and exchange are also essential components of our offer for the Junior Faculty. Our program Junior Faculty in Focus (info sessions with experts & short workshops) deals thematically with various challenges for the career goal of professorship and serves, for example, to prepare for the appointment procedure. In addition, each member of the Junior Faculty can take advantage of an one on one individual coaching session on topics such as appointment, strategic career planning, leadership or supervision (duration 1 hour).
