Research Explorer Ruhr 2022 is in the books! 17 aspiring researchers from 16 countries found their way to the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) and enjoyed their two-week stays at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen. Thanks to a very promising group with researchers from life sciences, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and the humanities.

The huge network of early career researchers here in the region impressed the participants as well as the big funding opportunities in the German research system. Safe travels back home and hope you come back with your postdoc funding!

Research Explorer Ruhr offers early postdoctoral researchers from around the world the opportunity to get to know the research landscape of the UA Ruhr and to explore opportunities for a longer research stay at one of our three universities. Next year’s call is expected to be announced in early 2023.
