Research takes place in many different ways at different locations in Germany. In addition to the universities, the German science system has a large number of institutions and organisations where research and development take place. This offers early career researchers a wide range of different working locations and qualification paths.

An online lecture on 18 May will present an overview of the research landscape in Germany and the characteristics and functions of the various types of institutions.
