What is the impact of my research?

24.01.2020

On 11 February 2020, the Research Support Services of TU Dortmund University invite all researchers of the University Alliance Ruhr to an evening event on the relevance of research and successful science communication.

"And what do you do with that?" – Almost every researcher has been confronted with this question at some time. The concrete benefit of their research often seems not yet foreseeable or only interesting for specialists. At the same time, almost every research project deals with its own relevance – for science, society or beyond. However, the communication to different target groups is often a challenge. The upcoming event will address these questions in a broad perspective: Experts from various disciplines will report on their experiences with relevance – in research, communication with the public or the acquisition of third-party funding.

The event will take place at the TU Dortmund University (Building Maschinenbau III, Lecture Hall E.001, Baroper Str. 303, Campus Süd). Language of the event will be German. Childcare can be arranged during the evening event if required. In this case please send an e-mail to forschungsfoerderung@tu-dortmund.de. Please note: Registration for childcare must be made by 3 February at the latest.

Further information and the registration form can be found at https://cms.tu-dortmund.de/cms/Referat2/de/home/Veranstaltungen/kommende-Veranstaltungen/index.html#Impact.
