Research Academy Ruhr (RAR) is the joint platform of Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen for promoting early career researchers on their career paths in academia and beyond. Our offers are directed at the around 10,000 doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who are engaged in the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr).

Informing, qualifying, and promoting together

Within RAR, RUB Research School, the Graduate Center TU Dortmund University, and the Graduate Center Plus of the University of Duisburg-Essen combine and bundle their expertise. All activities offered under the umbrella of RAR are based on close cooperation and regular exchange of experience.

The joint interdisciplinary qualification offers and career events prepare early career researchers for a career in research, business, and society. All offers also promote the mutual exchange of ideas, both within specific research fields and across individual disciplines.
