Research Career Day

Exploring Career Opportunities in Research

Are you doing your doctorate and would like to gain an understanding of a research career? Do you want to explore whether a research career could be the right choice for you? The Research Career Day provides insights into career paths, requirements, and considerations for pursuing a career in research. It considers the broader perspective of making a career at universities, non-university research institutions, and universities of applied sciences, helping you make an informed decision about your career direction.

What does the Research Career Day offer?

The half-day event provides information on requirements and perspectives for career paths in research, integrating both systemic and personal insights. It combines expert input, the exchange of experiences with researchers who are more advanced in their careers, and interactive elements. We aim to inform doctoral researchers interested in a research career about key aspects they could already consider during their doctorate.

Who is invited to participate?

The Research Career Day is designed for doctoral researchers from all research areas at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen who would like to explore career perspectives in research at an early stage.
