Description

What are the differences between positions for postdocs labelled as „wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter“, „Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben“, „junior professor“ etc.?

What are the formal rules and frameworks of an academic career in Germany after the PhD? 

What kind of permanent positions does German academia offer and what are their conditions?

In short, the aim of this workshop is to 

• help you understand the German academic system
• show you different job profiles for postdocs within German academia
