This workshop is aimed at postdocs who consider an academic career a serious professional option. Participants will have the opportunity to conduct a comprehensive individual assessment to determine their development potential and plan their future academic career from their current position. The workshop is based on the triadic career counselling model. It takes into account not only academic achievements but also personal aspects such as individual preferences, motiva-tional factors, and the specific circumstances of participants' respective academic fields.

In der Anleitung von Arbeitsgruppen, in der Betreuung von Doktorand:innen oder Student:innen sind Sie in der Verantwortung, Arbeitsergebnisse zu koordinieren, Anregungen zu geben und auch kritische Aspekte zu klären. Das alles häufig, ohne eine direkte Hierarchiebeziehung oder Weisungsbefugnis zu haben. Diese liegt in der Regel bei dem/der Professor:in. Dennoch sind Sie in Ihrer aktiven Gestaltungskraft gefragt und sind mittendrin – im Sandwich.

Scientific and research group work-processes are more and more based on project-work, sometimes with widely disparate and diverse members. This needs competences in two areas - project management skills and also the knowledge of how to build a team and to be able to cooperate with a variety of different personalities.
